Internet Speed Test
Latency, jitter, download and upload, measured against this server. Each phase runs on a clock rather than a fixed file size, so the test finishes in about the same time on any connection.

What this measures
Throughput between your device and this server, over HTTP. That is a useful real-world
figure, but it is not the same as your line's rated capacity: it is bounded by this server's
bandwidth and by the route between you and it.
Why results vary
Wi-Fi, VPNs, browser extensions and other traffic on your network all move the number. Run it a few
times and compare, rather than trusting a single reading.
